PCC was named a KLAS Category Leader in Ambulatory Specialty EMR for the second consecutive year in 2020. For PCC, it’s a proud moment of recognition for the work we do every day for our pediatric clients. For pediatricians, the KLAS report is a great tool to make the best decision in your practice’s EHR partner.
In previous years, PCC was scored in comparison to other EMRs from all specialties. This year KLAS provided physicians an additional report that has an important distinction: it compares PCC’s performance with other EMRs based on scores only from pediatricians. By focusing on pediatric needs, this year’s reports reflect PCC’s work in the field of pediatrics, and gives pediatricians insight into the solutions made specifically for their practice of medicine.
“The most important things we do to drive our clients’ success is answer the phone and respond to emails. We even reach out to them before they think to get in touch. It may sound simple, but an EHR vendor that responds to its clients is still a novelty. Having that level of engagement is resource-intensive -- it just takes people and hard work, so we know there will always be room in that corner of the market. Our first client, more than 30 years ago, gave us this advice we adopted: ‘Take care of the patients, and the money will take care of itself.’” -- PCC’s President, John Canning
Choosing an EHR, or switching from one that doesn’t work for your pediatric workflow, can be a difficult and arduous process. KLAS is a data-driven company on a mission to improve the world's healthcare by enabling provider and payer voices to be heard and counted. Working with thousands of healthcare professionals, KLAS collects insights on software, services and medical equipment to deliver reports, trending data and statistical overviews. KLAS data is accurate, honest and impartial. The research directly reflects the voice of healthcare professionals and acts as a catalyst for improving vendor performance. KLAS’s role in neutral analysis of healthcare software performance, based on user interviews and insights, is crucial for physicians and practices looking for the partner that makes the most sense for their practice. According to KLAS President Adam Gale: "Providers and payers demand better performance, usability, and interoperability from their vendor partners every year. Best in KLAS winners set the standard of excellence in their market segment. Earning a Best in KLAS award should both excite and humble the recipients. It serves as a signal to providers that they should expect only the best from the winning vendors."
For 2020, as we were in 2019, PCC is a Category Leader in Ambulatory Specialty EMR, leading in six key categories: Culture, Loyalty, Operations, Product, Relationship, and Value. In 2019, PCC received an overall score of 92.7. In 2020, we improved by nearly 4 points to receive a score of 96.1. Where did we improve? Everywhere -- across all six categories. These categories reflect PCC’s dedication to keeping our promises, building our relationships with clients, employees, and partners, and most importantly, fulfilling our mission to remove the obstacles that prevent pediatricians from practicing medicine.
We’re excited to share our 2020 KLAS scores with you, and to best ourselves in 2020 to continue to provide the support, solutions, and the close relationships with pediatricians and their work that allow pediatricians to focus on the work that matters most: the care and health of kids and families in communities everywhere.
